Psalm 120

LEB 1 In my distress I called to Yahweh, and he answered me. NIV 1 I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me. LEB 2 "Deliver my life, O Yahweh, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue." NIV 2 Save me, O LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues. LEB 3 What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, deceitful tongue? NIV 3 What will he do to you, and what more besides, O deceitful tongue? LEB 4 [The] sharpened arrows of a warrior, with burning charcoals from broom trees. NIV 4 He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom tree. LEB 5 Woe to me, that I sojourn in Meshech, [that] I dwell among the tents of Kedar. NIV 5 Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar! LEB 6 Too long my soul has had its dwelling near [one who] hates peace. NIV 6 Too long have I lived among those who hate peace. LEB 7 I [am for] peace, but when I speak, they [are] for war. NIV 7 I am a man of peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
