Psalm 13

MSG 1 Long enough, God - you've ignored me long enough. I've looked at the back of your head NIV 1 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? MSG 2 Long enough I've carried this ton of trouble, lived with a stomach full of pain. Long enough my arrogant enemies have looked down their noses at me. NIV 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? MSG 3 Take a good look at me, God, my God; I want to look life in the eye, NIV 3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death; MSG 4 So no enemy can get the best of me or laugh when I fall on my face. NIV 4 my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall. MSG 5 I've thrown myself headlong into your arms - I'm celebrating your rescue. NIV 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. MSG 6 I'm singing at the top of my lungs, I'm so full of answered prayers. NIV 6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.
