Psalm 135

TMB 1 Praise ye the LORD, praise ye the name of the LORD! Praise Him, O ye servants of the LORD! NIV 1 Praise the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD; praise him, you servants of the LORD, TMB 2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God, NIV 2 you who minister in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God. TMB 3 praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praises unto His name, for it is pleasant. NIV 3 Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant. TMB 4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob for Himself, and Israel for His peculiar treasure. NIV 4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession. TMB 5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. NIV 5 I know that the LORD is great, that our Lord is greater than all gods. TMB 6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did He in heaven and on earth, in the seas and in all deep places. NIV 6 The LORD does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths. TMB 7 He causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He maketh lightnings for the rain; He bringeth the wind out of His treasuries. NIV 7 He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; he sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses. TMB 8 He smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast. NIV 8 He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, the firstborn of men and animals. TMB 9 He sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants. NIV 9 He sent his signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants. TMB 10 He smote great nations, and slew mighty kings: NIV 10 He struck down many nations and killed mighty kings-- TMB 11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan; NIV 11 Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan and all the kings of Canaan-- TMB 12 and gave their land as a heritage, a heritage unto Israel His people. NIV 12 and he gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his people Israel. TMB 13 Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever, and Thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations. NIV 13 Your name, O LORD, endures forever, your renown, O LORD, through all generations. TMB 14 For the LORD will judge His people, and He will repent Himself concerning His servants. NIV 14 For the LORD will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants. TMB 15 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. NIV 15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by the hands of men. TMB 16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; NIV 16 They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see; TMB 17 they have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. NIV 17 they have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths. TMB 18 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them. NIV 18 Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them. TMB 19 Bless the LORD, O house of Israel! Bless the LORD, O house of Aaron! NIV 19 O house of Israel, praise the LORD; O house of Aaron, praise the LORD; TMB 20 Bless the LORD, O house of Levi! Ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD! NIV 20 O house of Levi, praise the LORD; you who fear him, praise the LORD. TMB 21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, who dwelleth in Jerusalem! Praise ye the LORD! NIV 21 Praise be to the LORD from Zion, to him who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.
