Psalm 14

NLT 1 Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! NIV 1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. NLT 2 The looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. NIV 2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. NLT 3 But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one! NIV 3 All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. NLT 4 Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn’t think of praying to the . NIV 4 Will evildoers never learn-- those who devour my people as men eat bread and who do not call on the LORD? NLT 5 Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him. NIV 5 There they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous. NLT 6 The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the will protect his people. NIV 6 You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge. NLT 7 Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When the restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice. NIV 7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
