Psalm 143:1-6

DBY 1 {A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, hear my prayer; give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, in thy righteousness. NIV 1 O LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. DBY 2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant; for in thy sight no man living shall be justified. NIV 2 Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you. DBY 3 For the enemy persecuteth my soul: he hath crushed my life down to the earth; he hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead. NIV 3 The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in darkness like those long dead. DBY 4 And my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. NIV 4 So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed. DBY 5 I remember the days of old: I meditate on all thy doing; I muse on the work of thy hands. NIV 5 I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done. DBY 6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul, as a parched land, [thirsteth] after thee. Selah. NIV 6 I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. "Selah"
