Psalm 145

GW 1 I will highly praise you, my God, the king. I will bless your name forever and ever. NIV 1 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. GW 2 I will bless you every day. I will praise your name forever and ever. NIV 2 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. GW 3 The LORD is great, and he should be highly praised. His greatness is unsearchable. NIV 3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. GW 4 One generation will praise your deeds to the next. Each generation will talk about your mighty acts. NIV 4 One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. GW 5 I will think about the glorious honor of your majesty and the miraculous things you have done. NIV 5 They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. GW 6 People will talk about the power of your terrifying deeds, and I will tell about your greatness. NIV 6 They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds. GW 7 They will announce what they remember of your great goodness, and they will joyfully sing about your righteousness. NIV 7 They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. GW 8 The LORD is merciful, compassionate, patient, and always ready to forgive. NIV 8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. GW 9 The LORD is good to everyone and has compassion for everything that he has made. NIV 9 The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. GW 10 Everything that you have made will give thanks to you, O LORD, and your faithful ones will praise you. NIV 10 All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you. GW 11 Everyone will talk about the glory of your kingdom and will tell the descendants of Adam about your might NIV 11 They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, GW 12 in order to make known your mighty deeds and the glorious honor of your kingdom. NIV 12 so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. GW 13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your empire endures throughout every generation. NIV 13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. GW 14 The LORD supports everyone who falls. He straightens [the backs] of those who are bent over. NIV 14 The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. GW 15 The eyes of all creatures look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. NIV 15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. GW 16 You open your hand, and you satisfy the desire of every living thing. NIV 16 You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. GW 17 The LORD is fair in all his ways and faithful in everything he does. NIV 17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. GW 18 The LORD is near to everyone who prays to him, to every faithful person who prays to him. NIV 18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. GW 19 He fills the needs of those who fear him. He hears their cries for help and saves them. NIV 19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. GW 20 The LORD protects everyone who loves him, but he will destroy all wicked people. NIV 20 The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. GW 21 My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and all living creatures will praise his holy name forever and ever. NIV 21 My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
