Psalm 145

WBT 1 David's [Psalm] of praise. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. NIV 1 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. WBT 2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. NIV 2 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. WBT 3 Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness [is] unsearchable. NIV 3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. WBT 4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. NIV 4 One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. WBT 5 I will speak of the glorious honor of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. NIV 5 They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. WBT 6 And [men] shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. NIV 6 They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds. WBT 7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. NIV 7 They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. WBT 8 The LORD [is] gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. NIV 8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. WBT 9 The LORD [is] good to all: and his tender mercies [are] over all his works. NIV 9 The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. WBT 10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. NIV 10 All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you. WBT 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; NIV 11 They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, WBT 12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. NIV 12 so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. WBT 13 Thy kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endureth] throughout all generations. NIV 13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. WBT 14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all [those that are] bowed down. NIV 14 The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. WBT 15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their food in due season. NIV 15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. WBT 16 Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living creature. NIV 16 You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. WBT 17 The LORD [is] righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. NIV 17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. WBT 18 The LORD [is] nigh to all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. NIV 18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. WBT 19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. NIV 19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. WBT 20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. NIV 20 The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. WBT 21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. NIV 21 My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
