Psalm 147

NCV 1 Praise the Lord! It is good to sing praises to our God; it is good and pleasant to praise him. NIV 1 Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! NCV 2 The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem; he brings back the captured Israelites. NIV 2 The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. NCV 3 He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. NIV 3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. NCV 4 He counts the stars and names each one. NIV 4 He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. NCV 5 Our Lord is great and very powerful. There is no limit to what he knows. NIV 10 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man; NCV 11 The Lord is pleased with those who respect him, with those who trust his love. NIV 13 for he strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your people within you. NCV 14 He brings peace to your country and fills you with the finest grain. NIV 14 He grants peace to your borders and satisfies you with the finest of wheat. NCV 15 He gives a command to the earth, and it quickly obeys him. NIV 15 He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly. NCV 16 He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes. NIV 19 He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel. NCV 20 He didn't do this for any other nation. They don't know his laws. NIV 20 He has done this for no other nation; they do not know his laws. Praise the LORD.
