NLT 1 Praise the LORD ! Sing to the LORD a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful. NIV 1 Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints. NLT 2 O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King. NIV 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. NLT 3 Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp. NIV 3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp. NLT 4 For the LORD delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. NIV 4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation. NLT 5 Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them. Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds. NIV 5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. NLT 6 Let the praises of God be in their mouths, and a sharp sword in their hands— NIV 6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, NLT 7 to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, NIV 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, NLT 8 to bind their kings with shackles and their leaders with iron chains, NIV 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, NLT 9 to execute the judgment written against them.
