Psalm 22:1-6

CEB 1 My God! My God, why have you left me all alone? Why are you so far from saving me— so far from my anguished groans? NIV 1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning? CEB 2 My God, I cry out during the day, but you don't answer; even at nighttime I don't stop. NIV 2 O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, and am not silent. CEB 3 You are the holy one, enthroned. You are Israel's praise. NIV 3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the praise of Israel. CEB 4 Our ancestors trusted you— they trusted you and you rescued them; NIV 4 In you our fathers put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them. CEB 5 they cried out to you and they were saved; they trusted you and they weren't ashamed. NIV 5 They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed. CEB 6 But I'm just a worm, less than human; insulted by one person, despised by another. NIV 6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people.
