Psalm 25

WBT 1 [A Psalm] of David. To thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. NIV 1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; WBT 2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me, NIV 2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. WBT 3 Also, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed who transgress without cause. NIV 3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. WBT 4 Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. NIV 4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; WBT 5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. NIV 5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. WBT 6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy loving kindnesses; for they [have been] ever of old. NIV 6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. WBT 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD. NIV 7 Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD. WBT 8 Good and upright [is] the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. NIV 8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. WBT 9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. NIV 9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. WBT 10 All the paths of the LORD [are] mercy and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. NIV 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant. WBT 11 For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity; for it [is] great. NIV 11 For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great. WBT 12 What man [is] he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose. NIV 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. WBT 13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. NIV 13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. WBT 14 The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant. NIV 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. WBT 15 My eyes [are] ever towards the LORD; for he will pluck my feet out of the net. NIV 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare. WBT 16 Turn thee to me, and have mercy upon me; for I [am] desolate and afflicted. NIV 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. WBT 17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. NIV 17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. WBT 18 Look upon my affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. NIV 18 Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. WBT 19 Consider my enemies, for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. NIV 19 See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me! WBT 20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. NIV 20 Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. WBT 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. NIV 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you. WBT 22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles. NIV 22 Redeem Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
