Psalm 27:1-6

NRS 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? NIV 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid? NRS 2 When evildoers assail me to devour my flesh— my adversaries and foes— they shall stumble and fall. NIV 2 When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. NRS 3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident. NIV 3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. NRS 4 One thing I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple. NIV 4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. NRS 5 For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will set me high on a rock. NIV 5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. NRS 6 Now my head is lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord. NIV 6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.
