Psalm 2:1-6

WBT 1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? NIV 1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? WBT 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying], NIV 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. WBT 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. NIV 3 "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters." WBT 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. NIV 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. WBT 5 Then shall he speak to them in his wrath, and trouble them in his sore displeasure. NIV 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, WBT 6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. NIV 6 "I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill."
