WEB 1 <<A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom, his son.>> Yahweh, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me. NIV 1 O LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! WEB 2 Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. NIV 2 Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him." "Selah" WEB 3 But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, My glory, and the one who lifts up my head. NIV 3 But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. WEB 4 I cry to Yahweh with my voice, And he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah. NIV 4 To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. "Selah" WEB 5 I laid myself down and slept. I awakened; for Yahweh sustains me. NIV 5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. WEB 6 I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people Who have set themselves against me on every side. NIV 6 I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side. WEB 7 Arise, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked. NIV 7 Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. WEB 8 Salvation belongs to Yahweh. Your blessing be on your people. Selah. NIV 8 From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. "Selah"
