Psalm 34

LEB 1 I will bless Yahweh at all times; his praise [shall be] in my mouth continually. NIV 1 I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. LEB 2 My soul makes its boast in Yahweh; let the humble hear and be glad. NIV 2 My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. LEB 3 Magnify Yahweh with me, and let us exalt his name together. NIV 3 Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. LEB 4 I sought Yahweh and he answered me, and from all my terrors he delivered me. NIV 4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. LEB 5 They looked to him and were radiant, and their faces shall not be ashamed. NIV 5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. LEB 6 This poor [man] called and Yahweh heard, and saved him from all his troubles. NIV 6 This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. LEB 7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around [those who] fear him, and he rescues them. NIV 7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. LEB 8 Taste and see that Yahweh [is] good; blessed [is] the man [who] takes refuge in him. NIV 8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. LEB 9 Fear Yahweh, [you] his saints, for there is no lack for [those who] fear him. NIV 9 Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. LEB 10 [The] young lions are in want and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh will not lack for any good thing. NIV 10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. LEB 11 Come, [you] children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of Yahweh. NIV 11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. LEB 12 Who [is] the man who desires life, who loves [many] days in order to see good? NIV 12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, LEB 13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. NIV 13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. LEB 14 Turn from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it. NIV 14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. LEB 15 The eyes of Yahweh [are] toward [the] righteous, and his ears toward their cry for help. NIV 15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; LEB 16 The face of Yahweh [is] against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from [the] earth. NIV 16 the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. LEB 17 They cry out and Yahweh hears and delivers them from all [of] their troubles. NIV 17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. LEB 18 Yahweh [is] near to [those who are] heartbroken and saves [those who are] crushed in spirit. NIV 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. LEB 19 Many [are the] distresses of [the] righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. NIV 19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; LEB 20 [He] protects all his bones; not one of them is broken. NIV 20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. LEB 21 Evil will slay [the] wicked, and [those who] hate [the] righteous will incur guilt. NIV 21 Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. LEB 22 Yahweh redeems the life of his servants, and none who take refuge in him will incur guilt. NIV 22 The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.
