Psalm 34

NCV 1 I will praise the Lord at all times; his praise is always on my lips. NIV 1 I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. NCV 2 My whole being praises the Lord. The poor will hear and be glad. NIV 2 My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. NCV 3 Glorify the Lord with me, and let us praise his name together. NIV 3 Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. NCV 4 I asked the Lord for help, and he answered me. He saved me from all that I feared. NIV 9 Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. NCV 10 Even lions may get weak and hungry, but those who look to the Lord will have every good thing. NIV 10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. NCV 11 Children, come and listen to me. I will teach you to worship the Lord. NIV 11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. NCV 12 You must do these things to enjoy life and have many happy days. NIV 12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, NCV 13 You must not say evil things, and you must not tell lies. NIV 13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. NCV 14 Stop doing evil and do good. Look for peace and work for it. NIV 14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. NCV 15 The Lord sees the good people and listens to their prayers. NIV 15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; NCV 16 But the Lord is against those who do evil; he makes the world forget them. NIV 16 the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. NCV 17 The Lord hears good people when they cry out to him, and he saves them from all their troubles. NIV 17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. NCV 18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirits have been crushed. NIV 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. NCV 19 People who do what is right may have many problems, but the Lord will solve them all. NIV 19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; NCV 20 He will protect their very bones; not one of them will be broken.
