Psalm 36:1-6

DBY 1 {To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the servant of Jehovah; of David.} The transgression of the wicked uttereth within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes. NIV 1 An oracle is within my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. DBY 2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, [even] when his iniquity is found to be hateful. NIV 2 For in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to detect or hate his sin. DBY 3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good. NIV 3 The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and to do good. DBY 4 He deviseth wickedness up on his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good: he abhorreth not evil. NIV 4 Even on his bed he plots evil; he commits himself to a sinful course and does not reject what is wrong. DBY 5 Jehovah, thy loving-kindness is in the heavens, and thy faithfulness [reacheth] unto the clouds. NIV 5 Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. DBY 6 Thy righteousness is like the high mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: thou, Jehovah, preservest man and beast. NIV 6 Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O LORD, you preserve both man and beast.
