NAS 1 Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Be gracious to me and hear my prayer. NIV 1 Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer. NAS 2 O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach? How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah. NIV 2 How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame ? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods ? "Selah" NAS 3 But know that the LORD has set apart the godly man for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him. NIV 3 Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him. NAS 4 Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. NIV 4 In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. "Selah" NAS 5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the LORD . NIV 5 Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD. NAS 6 Many are saying, "Who will show us any good?" Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD ! NIV 6 Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD. NAS 7 You have put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine abound. NIV 7 You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound. NAS 8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD , make me to dwell in safety. NIV 8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
