WEB 1 <<For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.>> Have mercy on me, God, according to your lovingkindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. NIV 1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. WEB 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin. NIV 2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. WEB 3 For I know my transgressions. My sin is constantly before me. NIV 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. WEB 4 Against you, and you only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in your sight; That you may be proved right when you speak, And justified when you judge. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. NIV 16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. WEB 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. WEB 18 Do well in your good pleasure to Zion. Build the walls of Jerusalem. NIV 18 In your good pleasure make Zion prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem. WEB 19 Then will you delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, In burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings. Then they will offer bulls on your altar. NIV 19 Then there will be righteous sacrifices, whole burnt offerings to delight you; then bulls will be offered on your altar.
