HNV 1 <<For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, upon the sheminit. A Psalm by David.>> LORD, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath. NIV 1 O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. HNV 2 Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am faint. LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled. NIV 2 Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony. HNV 3 My soul is also in great anguish. But you, LORD -- how long? NIV 3 My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long? HNV 4 Return, LORD. Deliver my soul, And save me for your lovingkindness' sake. NIV 4 Turn, O LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love. NIV 8 Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping. HNV 9 The LORD has heard my supplication. The LORD will receive my prayer. NIV 9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer. HNV 10 May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly. NIV 10 All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
