NIV 1 O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. NKJV 2 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled. NIV 2 Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony. NKJV 3 My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O Lord--how long? NIV 3 My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long? NKJV 4 Return, O Lord, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies' sake! NIV 4 Turn, O LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love. NKJV 5 For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks? NIV 5 No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave ? NKJV 6 I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. NIV 6 I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears. NKJV 7 My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my enemies. NIV 7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes. NKJV 8 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. NIV 8 Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping. NKJV 9 The Lord has heard my supplication; The Lord will receive my prayer. NIV 9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer. NKJV 10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly. NIV 10 All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
