HNV 1 <<For the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David.>> Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer. NIV 1 Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. HNV 2 From the end of the eretz, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. NIV 2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. HNV 3 For you have been a refuge for me, A strong tower from the enemy. NIV 3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. HNV 4 I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah. NIV 4 I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. "Selah" HNV 5 For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. NIV 5 For you have heard my vows, O God; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. HNV 6 You will prolong the king's life; His years shall be for generations. NIV 6 Increase the days of the king's life, his years for many generations. HNV 7 He shall be enthroned in God's presence forever. Appoint your lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him. NIV 7 May he be enthroned in God's presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him. HNV 8 So I will sing praise to your name forever, That I may fulfill my vows daily. NIV 8 Then will I ever sing praise to your name and fulfill my vows day after day.
