Psalm 62

NIRV 1 I find my rest in God alone. He is the One who saves me. NIV 1 My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. NIRV 2 He alone is my rock. He is the One who saves me. He is like a fort to me. I will always be secure. NIV 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. NIRV 3 How long will you enemies attack me? Will all of you throw me down? I'm like a leaning wall. I'm like a fence that is about to fall. NIV 3 How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down-- this leaning wall, this tottering fence? NIRV 4 You only want to pull me down from my place of honor. You take delight in telling lies. You bless me with what you say. But in your hearts you call down curses on me. "Selah" NIV 4 They fully intend to topple him from his lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse. "Selah" NIRV 5 I will find my rest in God alone. He is the One who gives me hope. NIV 5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. NIRV 6 He alone is my rock. He is the One who saves me. He is like a fort to me. I will always be secure. NIV 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. NIRV 7 I depend on God to save me and to honor me. He is my mighty rock. He is my place of safety. NIV 7 My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. NIRV 8 Trust in him at all times, you people. Tell him all of your troubles. God is our place of safety. "Selah" NIV 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. "Selah" NIRV 9 Ordinary people are only a breath. Important people are not what they seem to be. If they were weighed on a scale, they wouldn't amount to anything. Together they are only a breath. NIV 9 Lowborn men are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie; if weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath. NIRV 10 Don't trust in money you have taken from others. Don't be proud of things you have stolen. Even if your riches grow, don't put your trust in them. NIV 10 Do not trust in extortion or take pride in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them. NIRV 11 God, I have heard you say two things. One is that you, God, are strong. NIV 11 One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard: that you, O God, are strong, NIRV 12 The other is that you, Lord, are loving. I'm sure you will reward each person in keeping with what he has done. NIV 12 and that you, O Lord, are loving. Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.
