TMB 1 <<To the chief musician: Upon Gittith. A Psalm of David.>> O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth, who hast set Thy glory above the heavens! NIV 1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. TMB 2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast Thou ordained strength because of Thine enemies, that Thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. NIV 2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. TMB 3 When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars which Thou hast ordained, NIV 3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, TMB 4 what is man that Thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that Thou dost visit him? NIV 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? TMB 5 For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. NIV 5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. TMB 6 Thou hast made him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet, NIV 6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: TMB 7 all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field, NIV 7 all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, TMB 8 the fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. NIV 8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. TMB 9 O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth!
