A Psalm by Asaf.>> Hear us, Shepherd of Yisra'el, You who lead Yosef like a flock, You who sit above the Keruvim, shine forth. NIV 1 Hear us, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock; you who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth HNV 2 Before Efrayim and Binyamin and Menashsheh, stir up your might, Come to save us. NIV 2 before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh. Awaken your might; come and save us. HNV 3 Turn us again, God. Cause your face to shine, And we will be saved. NIV 3 Restore us, O God; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved. HNV 4 LORD God Tzva'ot, How long will you be angry against the prayer of your people? NIV 4 O LORD God Almighty, how long will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people? HNV 5 You have fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in large measure. NIV 5 You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful. HNV 6 You make us a source of contention to our neighbors. Our enemies laugh among themselves. NIV 13 Boars from the forest ravage it and the creatures of the field feed on it. HNV 14 Turn again, we beg you, God Tzva'ot. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine, NIV 14 Return to us, O God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine, HNV 15 The stock which your right hand planted, The branch that you made strong for yourself. NIV 15 the root your right hand has planted, the son you have raised up for yourself. HNV 16 It is burned with fire. It is cut down. They perish at your rebuke. NIV 16 Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire; at your rebuke your people perish. HNV 17 Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, On the son of man whom you made strong for yourself. NIV 17 Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself. HNV 18 So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name. NIV 18 Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name. HNV 19 Turn us again, LORD God Tzva'ot. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
