Psalm 82

RSV 1 A Psalm of Asaph. God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: NIV 1 God presides in the great assembly; he gives judgment among the "gods": RSV 2 "How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? [Selah] NIV 2 "How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? "Selah" RSV 3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. NIV 3 Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. RSV 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."
