WEB 1 <<For the Chief Musician. Set to "The Death of the Son." A Psalm by David.>> I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works. NIV 1 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. WEB 2 I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, you Most High. NIV 2 I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. WEB 3 When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish in your presence. NIV 3 My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you. WEB 4 For you have maintained my right and my cause. You sit on the throne judging righteously. NIV 4 For you have upheld my right and my cause; you have sat on your throne, judging righteously. WEB 5 You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever. NIV 5 You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever. WEB 6 The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished. NIV 6 Endless ruin has overtaken the enemy, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished. WEB 7 But Yahweh reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment. NIV 7 The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. WEB 8 He will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness. NIV 8 He will judge the world in righteousness; he will govern the peoples with justice. WEB 9 Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; A high tower in times of trouble. NIV 9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. WEB 10 Those who know your name will put their trust in you, For you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. NIV 10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. WEB 11 Sing praises to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion, And declare among the people what he has done. NIV 11 Sing praises to the LORD, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. WEB 12 For he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn't forget the cry of the afflicted. NIV 12 For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cry of the afflicted. WEB 13 Have mercy on me, Yahweh. See my affliction by those who hate me, And lift me up from the gates of death; NIV 13 O LORD, see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death, WEB 14 That I may show forth all your praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion I will rejoice in your salvation. NIV 14 that I may declare your praises in the gates of the Daughter of Zion and there rejoice in your salvation. WEB 15 The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made; In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken. NIV 15 The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden. WEB 16 Yahweh has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah. NIV 16 The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. "Higgaion." "Selah" WEB 17 The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God. NIV 17 The wicked return to the grave, all the nations that forget God. WEB 18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten, Nor the hope of the poor perish forever. NIV 18 But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish. WEB 19 Arise, Yahweh! Don't let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your sight. NIV 19 Arise, O LORD, let not man triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence. WEB 20 Put them in fear, Yahweh. Let the nations know that they are only men. Selah. NIV 20 Strike them with terror, O LORD; let the nations know they are but men. "Selah"
