Psalm 92

NRS 1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, NRS 2 to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, NRS 3 to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. NRS 4 For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. NRS 5 How great are your works, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep! NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! NRS 6 The dullard cannot know, the stupid cannot understand this: NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, NRS 7 though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever, NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. NRS 8 but you, O Lord, are on high forever. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. NRS 9 For your enemies, O Lord, for your enemies shall perish; all evildoers shall be scattered. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. NRS 10 But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. NRS 11 My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. NRS 12 The righteous flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; NRS 13 They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God. NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. NRS 14 In old age they still produce fruit; they are always green and full of sap, NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, NRS 15 showing that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
