Psalm 92

WBT 1 A Psalm [or] Song for the sabbath day. [It is a] good [thing] to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to thy name, O Most High. NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, WBT 2 To show forth thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, WBT 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. WBT 4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. WBT 5 O LORD, how great are thy works! [and] thy thoughts are very deep. NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! WBT 6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, WBT 7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; [it is] that they shall be destroyed for ever: NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. WBT 8 But thou, LORD, [art most] high for evermore. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. WBT 9 For lo, thy enemies, O LORD, for lo, thy enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. WBT 10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like [the horn of] an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. WBT 11 My eye also shall see [my desire] on my enemies, [and] my ears shall hear [my desire] of the wicked that rise up against me. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. WBT 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; WBT 13 Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. WBT 14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, WBT 15 To show that the LORD [is] upright: [he is] my rock, and [there is] no unrighteousness in him. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
