Romans 15:1-6

NRS 1 We who are strong ought to put up with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. NIV 1 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. NRS 2 Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor. NIV 2 Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. NRS 3 For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, "The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me." NIV 3 For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: "The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me." NRS 4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. NIV 4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. NRS 5 May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus, NIV 5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, NRS 6 so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. NIV 6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
