Romans 3:27-31

NLT 27 Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. NIV 27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. NLT 28 So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law. NIV 28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. NLT 29 After all, is God the God of the Jews only? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is. NIV 29 Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, NLT 30 There is only one God, and he makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles. NIV 30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. NLT 31 Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law. NIV 31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
