1 Salmo de canción al estrenar la casa de David: Te ensalzaré, oh SEÑOR; porque me has ensalzado; y no hiciste alegrar mis enemigos de mí.

I will exalt you, LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
2 SEÑOR Dios mío, clamé a ti, y me sanaste.

LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
3 Oh SEÑOR, hiciste subir mi alma del sepulcro; me diste vida de mi descendimiento a la sepultura.

You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.
4 Cantad al SEÑOR sus misericordiosos, y celebrad la memoria de su santidad.

Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name.
5 Porque un momento <I>hay</I> en su furor; mas en su voluntad <I>está la</I> vida: por la tarde durará el lloro, y a la mañana <I>vendrá</I> la alegría.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
6 Y dije yo en mi prosperidad: No seré jamás conmovido;

When I felt secure, I said, “I will never be shaken.”
7 porque <I>tú</I> , SEÑOR, por tu benevolencia has asentado mi monte con fortaleza. Escondiste tu rostro, fui conturbado.

LORD, when you favored me, you made my royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
8 A ti, oh DIOS, llamaré; y al Señor suplicaré.

To you, LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
9 ¿Qué provecho <I>hay</I> en mi muerte, cuando yo descendiere al hoyo? ¿Te alabará el polvo? ¿Anunciará tu verdad?

“What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
10 Oye, oh SEÑOR, y ten misericordia de mí: SEÑOR, sé <I>tú</I> mi ayudador.

Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me; LORD, be my help.”
11 Has tornado mi endecha en baile; desataste mi cilicio, y me ceñiste de alegría.

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 Por tanto a ti canté gloria, y no callé; SEÑOR Dios mío, te alabaré para siempre.

that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.
