1 Salmo a Asaf. El Dios de dioses, el SEÑOR, ha hablado, y convocado la tierra desde el nacimiento del sol hasta donde se pone.

The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.
2 De Sion, perfección de hermosura, Dios ha resplandecido.

From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
3 Vendrá nuestro Dios, y no callará; fuego consumirá <I>delante</I> de su presencia, y en derredor suyo habrá tempestad grande.

Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.
4 Convocará a los cielos de arriba, y a la tierra, para juzgar <I>a</I> su pueblo.

He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:
5 Juntadme mis misericordiosos; los que pactaron mi pacto sobre sacrificio.

“Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
6 Y denunciarán los cielos su justicia; porque Dios mismo <I>es</I> el juez. (Selah.)

And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice.
7 Oye, pueblo mío, y hablaré; escucha, Israel, y testificaré contra ti: Yo <I>soy</I> el Dios, el Dios tuyo.

“Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel: I am God, your God.
8 No te reprenderé sobre tus sacrificios, que tus holocaustos delante de mí están siempre.

I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
9 No tomaré de tu casa becerros, ni machos cabríos de tus apriscos.

I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens,
10 Porque mía es toda bestia del monte; millares de animales en los montes.

for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 Conozco todas las aves de los montes, y las fieras del campo <I>están</I> conmigo.

I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.
12 Si yo tuviese hambre, no te lo diría a ti; porque mío es el mundo y su plenitud.

If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
13 ¿Tengo de comer yo carne de toros, o de beber sangre de machos cabríos?

Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
14 Sacrifica a Dios alabanza, y paga tus promesas al Altísimo.

“Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,
15 Y llámame en el día de la angustia; te libraré, y tú me honrarás.

and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
16 Pero al malo dijo Dios: ¿Qué <I>parte tienes</I> tú de declarar mis leyes, y que tomes mi pacto en tu boca?

But to the wicked person, God says: “What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?
17 ¡Aborreciendo tú el castigo, y echando detrás de ti mis palabras!

You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.
18 Si veías al ladrón, tú corrías con él; y con los adúlteros <I>era</I> tu parte.

When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.
19 Tu boca metías en mal, y tu lengua componía engaño.

You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.
20 Tomabas asiento, y hablabas contra tu hermano; contra el hijo de tu madre ponías infamia.

You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son.
21 Estas cosas hiciste, y <I>yo</I> he callado; pensabas <I>por eso</I> que de cierto sería <I>yo</I> como tú; yo te argüiré, y las pondré delante de tus ojos.

When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you.
22 Entended ahora esto, los que <I>os</I> olvidáis de Dios; no sea que <I>os</I> arrebate, y no <I>haya</I> quién <I>os</I> libre.

“Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:
23 El que sacrifica alabanza me honrará; y al que ordenare su camino, le enseñaré la salud de Dios.

Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.”
