For 1this is the love of God, that we 2keep His commandments; and 3His commandments are not burdensome.

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who 6believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

This is the One who came7by water and blood, JesusChrist; not with the wateronly, but with the water and with the blood. It is 8the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

10If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that 11He has testifiedconcerning His Son.

The one who believes in the Son of God12has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believeGod has 13made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has givenconcerning His Son.

And the testimony is this, that God has given us 14eternallife, and 15thislife is in His Son.

16He who has the Sonhas the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
