38 hijo de Izhar, hijo de Coat, hijo de Leví, hijo de Israel.

39 Y el hermano de Hemán, Asaf, estaba a su mano derecha: Asaf, hijo de Berequías, hijo de Simea,

40 hijo de Micael, hijo de Baasías, hijo de Malquías,

41 hijo de Etni, hijo de Zera, hijo de Adaía,

42 hijo de Etán, hijo de Zima, hijo de Simei,

43 hijo de Jahat, hijo de Gersón, hijo de Leví.

44 Y a la mano izquierda estaban sus parientes, hijos de Merari: Etán, hijo de Quisi, hijo de Abdi, hijo de Maluc,

45 hijo de Hasabías, hijo de Amasías, hijo de Hilcías,

46 hijo de Amsi, hijo de Bani, hijo de Semer,

47 hijo de Mahli, hijo de Musi, hijo de Merari, hijo de Leví.

48 Y sus parientes, los levitas, fueron designados para todo el servicio del tabernáculo de la casa de Dios.

INTRODUCTION TO 1 CHRONICLES 6

This chapter begins with the fathers and heads of the tribe of Levi, 1Ch 6:1-3, and reckons up the high priests in the line of Eleazar, to the Babylonish captivity, 1Ch 6:4-15 gives an account of the families of the sons of Levi, 1Ch 6:16-30 and of those Levites that were employed as singers, and in other ministrations in the sanctuary in the times of David and Solomon, 1Ch 6:31-49, then follows a repetition of the sons of Aaron in the line of Eleazar, to the said times, 1Ch 6:50-53, and a recital of the dwelling places of the Levites in the several tribes, 1Ch 6:54-81.
