25"There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earthdismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,

menfainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

"1Then they will see2THE SON OF MANCOMING IN A CLOUD with power and greatglory.

"But when thesethingsbegin to takeplace, straighten up and lift up your heads, because3your redemption is drawingnear."

Then He told them a parable: "Behold the figtree and all the trees;

as soon* as they putforth leaves, you see it and 4know for yourselves that summer is nownear.

"So you also, when you seethesethingshappening, recognize that 5the kingdom of God is near.

"Truly I say to you, thisgeneration will not passawayuntilallthingstakeplace.

"6Heaven and earth will passaway, but My words will not passaway.

"7Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighteddown with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenlylike a trap;

for it will come upon allthose who dwell on the face of all the earth.

"But 8keep on the alert at alltimes, praying that you may havestrength to escapeallthesethings that are about to takeplace, and to 9standbefore the Son of Man."

Now during the day He was 10teaching in the temple, but 11at evening He would go out and spend the night on 12the mount that is calledOlivet.

And all the people would get up 13early in the morning to come to Him in the temple to listen to Him.
