As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of 1the Mount of Olives, the wholecrowd of the disciplesbegan to 2praiseGodjoyfully with a loudvoice for all the miracleswhich they had seen,

shouting: "3BLESSED IS THE 4KING WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Peace in heaven and 5glory in the highest!"

6Some of the Pharisees in the crowdsaid to Him, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples."

But Jesus answered, "I tell you, ifthesebecomesilent, 7the stones will cry out!"

When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and 8weptover it,

saying, "If you had known in thisday, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.

"For the days will come upon you when your enemies will 9throw up a barricade against you, and 10surround you and hem you in on everyside,

and they will level you to the ground and your childrenwithin you, and 11they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because* you did not recognize12the time of your visitation."
Traders Driven from the Temple
4513Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling,

saying to them, "It is written, '14AND MY HOUSE SHALL BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER,' 15but you have made it a ROBBERS'DEN."

And 16He was teachingdaily* in the temple; but the chiefpriests and the scribes and the leadingmen among the people17were trying to destroy Him,
