Luke 6:22-32

22 "Blessed are you when 1people hate you and when they 2exclude you and revile you and 3spurn your name as evil, 4on account of the Son of Man!
23 5Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for 6so their fathers did to the prophets.

Jesus Pronounces Woes

24 7"But woe to you who are rich, 8for you 9have received your consolation.
25 "Woe to you who are full now, for 10you shall be hungry. "Woe to 11you who laugh now, 12for you shall mourn and weep.
26 "Woe to you, 13when all people speak well of you, for 14so their fathers did to 15the false prophets.

Love Your Enemies

27 "But I say to you who hear, 16Love your enemies, 17do good to those who hate you,
28 18bless those who curse you, 19pray for those who abuse you.
29 20To one who 21strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic[a] either.
30 22Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
31 And 23as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
32 24"If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
