Jesus Heals a Deaf Man
31
1
Then he returned from the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to
2
the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the
3
Decapolis.
32
And they brought to him
4
a man who was deaf and
5
had a speech impediment, and they begged him to
6
lay his hand on him.
33
And
7
taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and
8
after spitting touched his tongue.
34
And
9
looking up to heaven,
10
he sighed and said to him,
"Ephphatha,"
that is,
"Be opened."
35
11
And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly.
36
And
12
Jesus
[a]
charged them to tell no one. But
13
the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it.
