Deuteronomio 3:14-24

14 Jair, hijo de Manasés, tomó toda la región de Argob hasta la frontera con Gesur y Maaca, y la llamó, es decir a Basán, según su propio nombre, Havot-jair , como se llama hasta hoy.)

15 Y a Maquir le di Galaad.

16 A los rubenitas y a los gaditas les di desde Galaad hasta el valle del Arnón, el medio del valle como frontera, hasta el arroyo Jaboc, frontera de los hijos de Amón;

17 también el Arabá, con el Jordán como frontera, desde el Cineret hasta el mar del Arabá, el mar Salado, al pie de las laderas del Pisga al oriente.

18 Y en aquel tiempo yo os ordené, diciendo: "El SEÑOR vuestro Dios os ha dado esta tierra para poseerla; todos vosotros, hombres valientes, cruzaréis armados delante de vuestros hermanos, los hijos de Israel.

19 "Pero vuestras mujeres, vuestros pequeños y vuestro ganado (yo sé que tenéis mucho ganado), permanecerán en las ciudades que os he dado,

20 hasta que el SEÑOR dé reposo a vuestros compatriotas como a vosotros, y posean ellos también la tierra que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios les dará al otro lado del Jordán. Entonces podréis volver cada hombre a la posesión que os he dado."

21 Y ordené a Josué en aquel tiempo, diciendo: "Tus ojos han visto todo lo que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios ha hecho a estos dos reyes; así hará el SEÑOR a todos los reinos por los cuales vas a pasar.

22 "No les temáis, porque el SEÑOR vuestro Dios es el que pelea por vosotros."

23 Yo también supliqué al SEÑOR en aquel tiempo, diciendo:

24 "Oh Señor DIOS, tú has comenzado a mostrar a tu siervo tu grandeza y tu mano poderosa; porque ¿qué dios hay en los cielos o en la tierra que pueda hacer obras y hechos tan poderosos como los tuyos?

INTRODUCTION TO DEUTERONOMY 3

In this chapter the account is carried on of the conquest of the Amorites by Israel, of Og king of Bashan, and his kingdom, De 3:1-11, and of the distribution of their country to the tribes of Reuben and Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh, De 1:12-17 and then the command to the said tribes is observed, to go out armed before their brethren, and assist them in the conquest of the land of Canaan, and then return to their possessions, De 3:18-20 and also that to Joshua not to fear, but to do to the Canaanitish kings and kingdoms what he had seen done to the two kings of the Amorites, De 3:21,22. After which Moses relates the request he made, to go over Jordan and see the good land, which was denied him, only he is bidden to look from the top of an hill to see it, De 3:23-27. And the chapter is closed with the charge he was to give Joshua, De 3:28 which was received in the valley where they abode, De 3:29.
