Ezequiel 5:11-17

11 Por tanto, vivo yo, dijo el Señor DIOS, ciertamente por haber tú violado mi Santuario con todas tus contaminaciones, y con todas tus abominaciones, te quebrantaré yo también; mi ojo no perdonará, ni tampoco tendré yo misericordia.

12 La tercera parte de ti morirá de pestilencia, y será consumida de hambre en medio de ti; y la tercera parte caerá a cuchillo alrededor de ti; y la tercera parte esparciré a todos los vientos, y tras ellos desenvainaré espada.

13 Y se acabará mi furor, y haré que cese en ellos mi enojo, y tomaré consuelo; y sabrán que yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado en mi celo, cuando haya cumplido en ellos mi enojo.

14 Y te tornaré en desierto y en oprobio entre los gentiles que están alrededor de ti, a los ojos de todo transeúnte.

15 Y serás oprobio, y deshonra, y castigo, y espanto a los gentiles que están alrededor de ti, cuando yo hiciere en ti juicios en furor e ira, y en reprensiones de ira. Yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado.

16 Cuando arrojare yo sobre ellos las perniciosas saetas del hambre, que serán para destrucción, las cuales yo enviaré para destruiros, entonces aumentaré el hambre sobre vosotros, y quebrantaré entre vosotros el sustento del pan.

17 Enviaré, pues, sobre vosotros hambre, y malas bestias que te destruyan; y pestilencia y sangre pasarán por ti; y meteré sobre ti cuchillo. Yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado.

INTRODUCTION TO EZEKIEL 5

This chapter is of the same argument with the former; and contains a type of Jerusalem's destruction; an explanation of that type; what were the reasons of God's judgments on that city; and the nature, rise, and end of them. The type is in Eze 5:1-4; the explanation of that type is in Eze 5:5; the reasons of the severe judgments threatened are changing the statutes of the Lord, and not walking in them, and defiling the sanctuary with their abominations, Eze 5:6-11; an account of the judgments of God, answerable to each of the parts in the type, Eze 5:12; the ends of these judgments are, with respect to God, the accomplishment of his anger, and the satisfaction of his justice; with respect to the Jews, bringing them to an acknowledgment that he had spoken in his zeal; and, with respect to the nations, their instruction and astonishment, Eze 5:13-15; and the chapter is concluded with an assurance that these judgments would be sent, Eze 5:16,17.
