57 Regresaron del destierro los descendientes de estos sirvientes del rey Salomón:
Sotai, Hasoferet, Peruda,

58 Jaala,
Darcón, Gidel,

59 Sefatías, Hatil, Poqueret-hazebaim y Amí.

60 En total, los sirvientes del templo y los descendientes de los sirvientes de Salomón fueron trescientas noventa y dos personas.

61 Otro grupo regresó en esos días de las ciudades de Tel-mela, Tel-harsa, Querub, Addán
e Imer. Sin embargo, ni ellos ni sus familias pudieron demostrar que eran descendientes de Israel.

62 Ese grupo incluía a las familias de Delaía, Tobías y Necoda: un total de seiscientas cuarenta y dos personas.

63 También regresaron tres familias de sacerdotes: Habaía, Cos y Barzilai. (Este Barzilai se había casado con una mujer que era descendiente de Barzilai de Galaad y había tomado el nombre de la familia de ella).

Nehemiah having built the wall, and set up the doors, appointed two persons to take the charge of the city, and set watches for the safety of it, and to take special care about opening and shutting the gates of it, Ne 7:1-3, and concerned he was for the peopling of it, and having found a register of the first comers to it, gives their names, Ne 7:4-69 and some account of the freewill offerings made for the work they came about, Ne 7:70-73.
