Proverbios 16:8-18

8 Mejor es lo poco con justicia, que la muchedumbre de frutos con injusticia

9 El corazón del hombre piensa su camino; mas el SEÑOR endereza sus pasos

10 Sentencia divina está en los labios del rey; en juicio no prevaricará su boca

11 Peso y balanzas de juicio son del SEÑOR; obra suya son todas las pesas de la bolsa

12 Abominación es a los reyes hacer impiedad; porque con justicia será afirmado el trono

13 Los labios justos son el contentamiento de los reyes; y aman al que habla lo recto

14 La ira del rey es mensajero de muerte; mas el hombre sabio la evitará

15 En la luz del rostro del rey está la vida; y su benevolencia es como nube de lluvia tardía

16 Mejor es adquirir sabiduría que oro preciado; y adquirir inteligencia vale más que la plata

17 El camino de los rectos es apartarse del mal; el que guarda su camino guarda su alma

18 Antes del quebrantamiento es la soberbia; y antes de la caída la altivez de espíritu

Proverbios 16:8-18 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO FIRST KINGS 6

This chapter gives an account of the building of the temple, for which preparations were before made and begins with the time of its building, 1Ki 6:1; gives the dimensions of it and the porch before it, 1Ki 6:2,3; observes the windows in it and chambers about it, 1Ki 6:4-10; and while it was building, Solomon had a word from the Lord relative to it, 1Ki 6:11-14; and then the account goes on concerning the walls of the house, and the flooring of it, 1Ki 6:15-18; and the oracle in it, and the cherubim in that, 1Ki 6:19-30; and the doors into it, and the carved work of them, 1Ki 6:31-36; and the chapter is concluded with observing the time when it was begun and finished 1Ki 6:37,38.
