Oh, how I love your law!1 I meditate2 on it all day long.
Your commands make me wiser3 than my enemies, for they are ever with me.
I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.4100
I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.5101
I have kept my feet6 from every evil path so that I might obey your word.7102
I have not departed from your laws,8 for you yourself have taught9 me.
How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey10 to my mouth!11104
I gain understanding12 from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.13
Your word is a lamp14 to my feet and a light15 for my path.
I have taken an oath16 and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.17107
I have suffered much; preserve my life,18 O LORD, according to your word.
Accept, O LORD, the willing praise of my mouth,19 and teach me your laws.20109
Though I constantly take my life in my hands,21 I will not forget22 your law.
The wicked have set a snare23 for me, but I have not strayed24 from your precepts.
Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.25112
My heart is set26 on keeping your decrees to the very end.27
I hate double-minded men,28 but I love your law.29114
You are my refuge and my shield;30 I have put my hope31 in your word.
Away from me,32 you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!
Sustain me33 according to your promise,34 and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.35117
Uphold me,36 and I will be delivered;37 I will always have regard for your decrees.38118
You reject all who stray39 from your decrees, for their deceitfulness is in vain.
All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross;40 therefore I love your statutes.41120
My flesh trembles42 in fear of you;43 I stand in awe44 of your laws.
