Psalms 1-41
1 Blessed is the man1 who does not walk2 in the counsel of the wicked3 or stand in the way4 of sinners5 or sit6 in the seat of mockers.7 2 But his delight8 is in the law of the LORD,9 and on his law he meditates10 day and night. 3 He is like a tree11 planted by streams12 of water,13 which yields its fruit14 in season and whose leaf15 does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.16 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff17 that the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand18 in the judgment,19 nor sinners in the assembly20 of the righteous. 6 For the LORD watches over21 the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.22Scripture quoted by permission.
