The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon.117
It was you who set all the boundaries2 of the earth; you made both summer and winter.318
Remember how the enemy has mocked you, O LORD, how foolish people4 have reviled your name.
Do not hand over the life of your dove5 to wild beasts; do not forget the lives of your afflicted6 people forever.
Have regard for your covenant,7 because haunts of violence fill the dark places8 of the land.
Do not let the oppressed9 retreat in disgrace; may the poor and needy10 praise your name.
Rise up,11 O God, and defend your cause; remember how fools12 mock you all day long.
Do not ignore the clamor13 of your adversaries,14 the uproar15 of your enemies,16 which rises continually.
