It was you who set all the boundaries1 of the earth; you made both summer and winter.218
Remember how the enemy has mocked you, O LORD, how foolish people3 have reviled your name.
Do not hand over the life of your dove4 to wild beasts; do not forget the lives of your afflicted5 people forever.
Have regard for your covenant,6 because haunts of violence fill the dark places7 of the land.
Do not let the oppressed8 retreat in disgrace; may the poor and needy9 praise your name.
Rise up,10 O God, and defend your cause; remember how fools11 mock you all day long.
Do not ignore the clamor12 of your adversaries,13 the uproar14 of your enemies,15 which rises continually.
