Psalm 9:2-12 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
2 I will be glad and rejoice1 in you; I will sing praise2 to your name,3 O Most High. 3 My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you. 4 For you have upheld my right4 and my cause;5 you have sat on your throne,6 judging righteously.7 5 You have rebuked the nations8 and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name9 for ever and ever. 6 Endless ruin has overtaken the enemy, you have uprooted their cities;10 even the memory of them11 has perished. 7 The LORD reigns forever;12 he has established his throne13 for judgment. 8 He will judge the world in righteousness;14 he will govern the peoples with justice.15 9 The LORD is a refuge16 for the oppressed,17 a stronghold in times of trouble.18 10 Those who know your name19 will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken20 those who seek you.21 11 Sing praises22 to the LORD, enthroned in Zion;23 proclaim among the nations24 what he has done.25 12 For he who avenges blood26 remembers; he does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.27
