Psalm 9:8-18 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
8 He will judge the world in righteousness;1 he will govern the peoples with justice.2 9 The LORD is a refuge3 for the oppressed,4 a stronghold in times of trouble.5 10 Those who know your name6 will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken7 those who seek you.8 11 Sing praises9 to the LORD, enthroned in Zion;10 proclaim among the nations11 what he has done.12 12 For he who avenges blood13 remembers; he does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.14 13 O LORD, see how my enemies15 persecute me! Have mercy16 and lift me up from the gates of death,17 14 that I may declare your praises18 in the gates of the Daughter of Zion19 and there rejoice in your salvation.20 15 The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug;21 their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.22 16 The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.23 "Higgaion."a "Selah" 17 The wicked return to the grave,b24 all the nations that forget God.25 18 But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope26 of the afflicted27 ever perish.
