53 (22-54) He served also Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked the Lord, the God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.

1 Kings 22:53

For he served Baal, and worshipped him
That is, Ahaziah served him, as his father had done, and his mother still did:

and provoked to anger the Lord God of Israel, according to all that his
father had done;
of which there is an instance in the first chapter of the following book; for falling through a lattice, and becoming sick upon it, he quickly died, having sent messengers to inquire of the god of Ekron whether he should die or not.
